Saudi Arabia Confirms Exit and Re-Entry Visa Fees Are Non-Refundable

Saudi Arabian authorities have confirmed that fees paid for exit and re-entry visas are non-refundable, even if the visa is cancelled. According to the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat), once an exit and re-entry visa is issued and the fee paid, no refund will be provided if the visa holder decides to cancel it.

Under current regulations, a single exit and re-entry visa costs 200 Saudi riyals (approximately $53) and is valid for up to two months. An additional fee of 100 riyals is charged for each extra month within the validity of the resident permit (Iqama). Multiple exit and re-entry visas cost 500 riyals for up to three months, with a monthly fee of 200 riyals for any extension beyond that period.

Expatriates applying for exit and re-entry visas must meet certain requirements, including having a valid Iqama and passport, and settling any outstanding traffic violations before issuance. The entire process, including visa cancellation and renewal, can be completed digitally via the Absher platform.

Residents currently outside Saudi Arabia who need to extend their visas will face double fees: 200 riyals per month for single visas and 400 riyals per month for multiple visas.

The confirmation of non-refundable visa fees aims to clarify previous uncertainties and ensure that applicants understand the financial implications of cancelling their exit and re-entry permits.
