Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman has reportedly turned down a transfer offer from Serie A champions Napoli, setting his sights on a switch to rival club Inter Milan, according to Italian media. Lookman has already agreed on personal terms with Inter, signing a five-year contract valued at €4.5 million annually.
However, negotiations between Inter and his current club, Atalanta, have hit a snag over the transfer fee. Inter’s initial €40 million bid has been rejected as Atalanta demands €50 million for their key forward.
Despite this, there is optimism that the deal will be finalized soon, with Inter reportedly considering performance-based add-ons to bridge the gap. Spanish club Atletico Madrid has also been linked with interest in the player, but Lookman’s preference remains clear.
The move would represent a significant boost for Inter’s attacking options ahead of the new season and highlights Lookman’s rising stock after an impressive Europa League campaign with Atalanta.
