Kaduna: Former Governor Nasir El-Rufai Accuses Governor Uba Sani of Sponsoring Terrorism

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has accused his successor, Governor Uba Sani, of sponsoring terrorism in Kaduna State. El-Rufai, who described Sani as his godson, condemned the recent violent attack on members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) during an opposition gathering in Kaduna. The event was disrupted by armed thugs wielding cutlasses, clubs, and stones, resulting in injuries and property destruction.

In a video statement, El-Rufai lamented that despite his hopes for Governor Uba Sani to follow his principles of peace, the current governor is allegedly behind such acts of terror. “We don’t stop people from enjoying their freedom, but unfortunately, my godson, Governor Uba Sani, whom I thought had been following my principles of peace, is the one sponsoring this kind of terrorism,” El-Rufai said.

The attack occurred during the inauguration of a transition committee formed by opposition parties, leading to chaos and pandemonium. The allegations by El-Rufai deepen the political tensions in Kaduna State, casting a shadow over the administration of Governor Uba Sani.
