Katsina Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda to Take Three-Week Medical Leave, Transmits Power to Deputy

Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has announced that he will be away from office for three weeks starting August 18, 2025, to address health issues. The State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango, conveyed this in a statement on Thursday.

Governor Radda emphasized the importance of prioritizing his health to maintain effective governance and make sound decisions for the state. During his absence, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal has been designated to assume the responsibilities of the governor.

The governor expressed confidence in his deputy’s commitment and dedication to managing state affairs, assuring the public that all ongoing programs, projects, and initiatives will continue without interruption.
