The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially released the detailed timetable for its upcoming elective National Convention, set to take place on November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Key dates include:
- The sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will start on September 3 and close on September 22, 2025.
- The deadline for the return of fully completed forms is September 26.
- Screening of all aspirants is set for September 30.
- Publication of cleared aspirants will be on October 3.
- A window for screening appeals is scheduled for October 6.
- The final list of aspirants will be published on October 10.
- The National Convention, where new national officers will be elected, will hold on November 15 and 16.
- The handover of leadership responsibilities is expected between December 1 and 8.
This timetable was signed by Umar Bature, the party’s National Organising Secretary, and announced after the PDP’s 101st National Executive Committee meeting. The timetable aims to guide the smooth conduct of the party’s internal elections and leadership transition.
