APGA Tells Senator Abaribe to Clear the Air Over Alleged Fraternity with ADC Within 24 Hours

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State has given Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe 24 hours to clarify his alleged fraternization or collaboration with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a rival political party.

The demand follows a controversy where Senator Abaribe and other prominent politicians’ names reportedly appeared on a communique linked to an ADC coalition meeting in Abia State, which purportedly aimed to forge alliances with other parties including APGA.

However, media aides to Senators Abaribe and Austin Akobundu have denied their principals’ involvement or endorsement of the ADC coalition meetings or communiques, dismissing the claims as false and manipulative.

The political tension comes amid a leadership crisis within the Abia State ADC, with factions led by Deacon Iyke Nwoke and Don Norman Obinna vying for control, further complicating coalition talks.

APGA’s ultimatum is intended to force transparency from Senator Abaribe, as political observers watch closely for the implications of inter-party alliances ahead of the 2027 elections.
