The Nigeria Police Force has initiated a nationwide search operation after one of its official vehicles, a Toyota Buffalo Land Cruiser, mysteriously vanished from the Force Headquarters in Abuja. The vehicle, registered as NPF 5594 D and attached to the Department of Operations at Louis Edet House, was reported missing after being removed from its official parking spot on July 28, 2025.
This alarming incident was confirmed through an internal wireless communication from the Commissioner of Police (DFA, Katsina Command), relayed from the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID). The communication instructed all area commands, divisional police officers, and formations across the country to be on high alert for the missing vehicle and to report any information promptly.
Security operatives and police units nationwide have been urged to treat the disappearance as a priority case, intensifying efforts for the vehicle's recovery. Authorities are meticulously investigating the matter and coordinating efforts to trace the stolen vehicle, which remains a critical asset of the force.
