In a powerful message to Nigerian youths, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inspired young Nigerians to dream big and assured them of his administration’s commitment to empowering them with opportunities to soar. Speaking during the 65th Independence Day celebrations, Tinubu described the youth as the nation’s greatest asset and the architects of Nigeria’s future.
The President highlighted several government initiatives aimed at youth development, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has supported over 510,000 students across the country with educational loans totaling nearly ₦100 billion. Other programs such as Credicorp and YouthCred provide affordable loans to thousands of Nigerians for small businesses, technology investments, and personal development.
Tinubu emphasized that his government would continue to “give wings to fly sky-high” through policies and funding designed to nurture innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. He called on Nigerian youths to innovate, conquer new territories, and contribute positively to the nation’s growth across various sectors including science, technology, sports, and the creative industries.
