Senate President Godswill Akpabio has assured President Bola Tinubu that more governors from opposition parties are preparing to defect and join the All Progressives Congress (APC). Akpabio made the remarks while delivering a goodwill message at the launch of a book authored by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, celebrating a decade of impactful leadership under the APC.

Praising President Tinubu’s performance over the past two years, Akpabio highlighted that several opposition governors are in the final stages of preparations to officially join the ruling party. He noted that Tinubu's reforms have yielded visible results that are resonating with Nigerians, including students, farmers, and businessmen, who see tangible benefits from the government's policies.

Akpabio emphasized that while critics may dismiss the accomplishments as party propaganda, the real beneficiaries of Tinubu's governance reforms are the ones voicing positive feedback. He also commended Governor Uzodimma for documenting his leadership achievements in the book, underscoring the importance of recording the party's progress through action and not just words.
