NYSC Cracks Down: Corps Members Banned from Negative Social Media Posts

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a strict ban on corps members posting negative content on social media, warning that such actions portraying the scheme or Nigeria unfavorably will attract disciplinary sanctions.

NYSC Director General Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu delivered the directive during addresses to 2025 Batch ‘C’ corps members at orientation camps in Delta and Rivers States, urging them to create positive content instead. He emphasized obedience to camp rules, biometric completion, community development service participation, and respect for host communities' cultural values to avoid misrepresentation at primary assignments.

Delta State Coordinator John Kwaghe reported smooth operations with 2,101 corps members 944 males and 1,157 females deployed, noting high discipline levels amid the reinforced guidelines.
