Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani asserted that terrorists killing in Nigeria's North-East and bandits terrorizing the North-West are not foreigners but local northern Muslims and Fulanis speaking Hausa and Fulani languages.
In a viral video, Sani dismissed claims of external origins like Congo or Senegal, estimating the total number of these perpetrators at no more than 5,000 and urging northern leaders to confront the issue directly.
His remarks coincide with escalating violence in states including Kwara, Kebbi, and Niger, prompting school closures, President Tinubu's security emergency declaration, and U.S. concerns over Christian-targeted killings under President Trump.
