NNPP Launches Nationwide Hunt for Integrity-Driven Politicians Ahead of 2027 Polls

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has instructed its state executives across Nigeria to immediately launch a mobilization drive targeting politicians with proven integrity, capacity, and verifiable records as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

NNPP founder and Board of Trustees Chairman Boniface Aniebonam issued the directive in a Lagos statement, also ordering membership drives, registrations, and updates to existing party registers to rebuild structures post-leadership crises. He stressed rejecting candidates lacking honour while allowing non-conforming members to exit freely, forgiving past betrayals including those by ex-presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso and Buba Galadima despite their alleged hijack attempts via the Kwankwasiya Movement.

Aniebonam clarified the 2023 presidential ticket was a temporary Memorandum of Understanding that expired post-election, reminding Kwankwaso's group to stop using NNPP's green-and-white fruit basket logo—instead of their red book emblem and consider registering under another party or reviving their deregistered Nigeria Alliance Party (NAP). He expressed optimism for victory through God-fearing governance, urging unity to overcome litigation setbacks that hampered past electoral participation.
