Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Accord Party, announcing it as his platform for the 2026 re-election bid during an event at the Government House Banquet Hall in Osogbo on December 9, 2025.
Adeleke revealed he joined Accord on November 6 after extensive consultations with stakeholders, citing the party's welfarism ideology as perfectly aligning with his administration's focus on citizens' and workers' welfare to sustain ongoing reforms and service delivery.
He emphasized that Osun residents support continuity of good governance, declaring Accord as the vehicle for victory while welcoming national party leaders and urging unity ahead of the polls.
