The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an extension of the registration period for the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) examination. Originally scheduled to close on Monday, April 7, 2025, the registration will now continue until a new closing date is announced.
Extension Details
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin confirmed the extension in a statement, urging prospective candidates to utilize the opportunity and register at any of the Board’s designated Professional Registration Centres (PRCs). Registration centers will remain open on Monday and continue operating until the official closing date is determined.
Reason for Extension
This extension is a result of ongoing investigations into candidates suspected of submitting fraudulent A-Level results during the registration process. JAMB has implemented mechanisms to identify individuals with falsified credentials and is expanding its investigation to include students already admitted using such results.
JAMB has called on candidates who have previously submitted fraudulent results to voluntarily withdraw their applications. The board emphasized that investigations are ongoing and will encompass students already admitted with such credentials.
