Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has addressed speculation surrounding Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, clarifying that the forward has not agreed to any deal and remains happy in Istanbul.
Buruk stated that Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, is enjoying his time with the Turkish champions and has not made any decision about his future. The 25-year-old has been in sensational form, scoring 36 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions this season.
Despite reports that Al Hilal have offered Osimhen a lucrative three-year contract worth €120 million pending approval from the Saudi government Buruk emphasized that no agreement has been reached. He said:
“Osimhen will look at the conditions. He is very happy here at Galatasaray. He is living the best days of his life. The player will decide about his future. He made an incredible contribution here. We need to respect him but we are hopeful that he will stay with us. He is a professional player. There are talks about it but Osimhen will make the choice. He will look at the conditions. The part about Osimhen agreeing with the Arabian side is not true.”
Osimhen remains under contract with Napoli until 2025, with a release clause of £63 million (€75 million). He has also been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal.
For now, Osimhen’s future remains undecided, with his next move likely to depend on the conditions of any potential offer.
