Comedian and actor Bill Burr has signed a significant first-look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios through his production company, North Hill Productions. The partnership will see Burr and his producing partner, Mike Bertolina, serving as executive producers and content creators for both scripted and unscripted television projects, with Fox having first rights to consider and develop the work.
Founded in 2024, North Hill Productions' debut project is Burr’s 2025 Hulu comedy special Drop Dead Years, which earned Burr two Emmy nominations. The company is also developing a half-hour comedy for Fox centered around the life of comedian Earthquake.
This deal marks a strategic move for Fox Entertainment as it doubles down on comedy programming, strengthening its roster with one of the industry's boldest voices. Hannah Pillemer, head of scripted for Fox Entertainment Studios, praised Burr as “one of the boldest, most original voices in comedy,” emphasizing Fox’s commitment to championing daring and fresh content.
The collaboration will see Burr and Bertolina leading the creative direction of upcoming television offerings, leveraging Burr’s distinctive comedic style to deliver content that fits Fox’s brand of inventive and engaging entertainment.
Bill Burr is represented by 3 Arts Entertainment, WME, and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham.
