The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially debunked a list of successful candidates purportedly admitted into the academy that has been circulating widely on social media platforms. In a statement issued on Monday, Major Mohammed Maidawa, the NDA’s Public Relations Officer, clarified that the list is fake and did not originate from the institution.
The viral list claimed to include the names of successful and reserve candidates from the 2025 Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) interviews. However, the NDA warned the public to disregard the circulated list and cautioned against falling victim to fraudsters who might exploit the misinformation.
“The attention of the Nigerian Defence Academy has been drawn to a fake list of successful and reserve candidates at the Armed Forces Selection Board 2025,” Maidawa stated.
He added that the authentic and official list of successful candidates will be published through reputable national newspapers and on the NDA’s official website, nda.edu.ng, in due course.
Candidates and the general public are advised to verify any announcements or lists only through official NDA channels to avoid scams.
This clarification follows the annual entrance selection processes at NDA, which are closely monitored due to the academy’s significance in training future military officers in Nigeria.
