The Carpenter’s Church is mourning the loss of its beloved presiding pastor, Pastor Nkechi Ene, who passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, shortly after returning from a ministry trip marked by miracles and testimonies.
In an official statement signed by Pastor Sola Akinwale on behalf of the church leadership, Pastor Ene was remembered as “a great loss to the church and the body of Christ.” She experienced a sudden health crisis shortly after arriving back in Lagos, Nigeria.
The church described Pastor Ene as a passionate preacher and teacher known for her unshakable faith, compassion, and deep commitment to service. “She lived and believed the Word of God till the very end,” the statement said. “She has now heard the words from her Master, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant’”
Pastor Ene is survived by her husband, Brother Emeka Ene, and their daughters Zoe, Chloe, Tracy, and Osi. Condolences were extended to her mother, Ma Mercy Chijioke, and siblings as well.
Despite the grief and loss, The Carpenter’s Church expressed gratitude for Pastor Ene’s excellent and productive life, highlighting her profound spiritual impact that crossed generations. The church celebrated her as “one of the great generals of God in our generation,” who lived and taught the undiluted Word of God and served with faith, love, and sacrifice.
The church concluded with a message of hope and reassurance that Pastor Ene’s legacy and influence will continue to inspire and endure in the hearts of many. “Though now absent from us, her impact and legacy endure in our hearts and in our lives,” the statement concluded. “We celebrate God’s general, our mother-in-Israel, Pastor Mrs. Nkechinyere Ene. The Lord is good, and His mercies endure forever.”
