Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has formally petitioned the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, complaining about misconduct by officers at the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCC). She accused the police, specifically Commissioner of Police Ifeanyi Henry Uche, of improperly allowing VeryDarkMan a civilian and defendant in another case where she is a witness into her interrogation room at the Force Headquarters in Abuja without her consent.
Ojo’s petition, submitted through her lawyers The Maverick Forte Legal on July 29, 2025, alleges serious breaches of protocol during her police interrogation. She claims that VeryDarkMan's presence in the room led to details of her private session being leaked online by him.
Protesting the invasion of her privacy and the improper handling of her interrogation, Iyabo Ojo has vowed to boycott further sessions at the Abuja office unless the case is transferred to Lagos for an independent investigation. She called for an end to what she termed a “tainted and partial inquiry.”
This petition is tied to ongoing tensions surrounding investigations related to the late singer Mohbad’s death, where Iyabo Ojo had previously called out Naira Marley for alleged involvement.
