Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage revealed in a candid interview with Zeze Mills that she regrets dating men who were not financially better off than she is. She explained that earlier in her life, she dated "down" because she thought love was all that mattered, but she now believes financial stability is important in a partner.
Tiwa said she has reached a point in her life where having a wealthy partner is a priority. She said, “I think I need someone that just has money. I think I’m at that point now.” She asked not to be judged for wanting to date wealthier men and expressed interest in trying that approach after many years of dating otherwise.
This reflects her changed perspective after her previous marriage to her former manager Tunji Balogun (Teebillz), which ended in divorce in 2018. She is openly sharing this view to clarify her current dating standards.
