Wilfred Ndidi, the Nigerian international midfielder, has officially completed his permanent transfer from Leicester City to Turkish Süper Lig club Besiktas. The transfer fee paid to Leicester is reported to be around €8 million (£8 million), with Ndidi signing a three-year contract plus an option for an additional year. He joined Besiktas after undergoing comprehensive medical examinations in Istanbul.
Ndidi, 28, played for Leicester City for over seven years, making over 300 appearances and winning the FA Cup and Community Shield with the Foxes. The move came following Leicester's recent relegation to the Championship and attracted strong interest from multiple clubs. Besiktas views Ndidi as a key addition to strengthen their midfield for the 2025/26 season.
This transfer follows Ndidi’s medical clearance and public unveiling by Besiktas. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the club, marking the next chapter in his career.
